Frantzy
Unique and Multicultural
Blending his Haitian and Québécois roots, with a particular connection to Algonquin heritage, Frantz Neveu embodies a rich cultural fusion. This exceptional mix shapes the artist’s unique perspective on the world and his environment. Frantz channels his multicultural experiences and deep respect for nature into the creation of eco-friendly lamps. His pieces are made from recycled and repurposed objects, leaving as little trace as possible behind.
Passion Transmitter
Frantz Neveu is a true transmitter of passion — a quality that shines through both his work and his journey. He has taught at the McCord Museum in Montreal and the MUSO in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. He has also worked as a youth mentor and with individuals facing mental health challenges, sharing his deep appreciation for art and meaningful objects.
One of Frantz’s greatest inspirations came from discovering a bicycle submerged at the bottom of a lake in an Indigenous community — a powerful moment that led him to reflect on the impact of our consumer society and to seek out tangible solutions. Frantz’s lamps are deeply infused with this mindset and his unique life journey.
